Element Hotel at the Metropilitan

Our partners at The Roxbury group saved the ornate Metropolitan building, originally home to jewelers and watchmakers in the 1920s. Before it was left abandoned in the 1970s, it was home to various dental and medical offices. The history and ornate designs of the building are what made this project special.

The project required an attention to detail and a nod to history across the trades. We designed an interior and exterior signage package that transitioned between two brand guides. One, a rebirth of the Metropolitan, and a second, Marriot’s Element line of hotels. We collaborated on the branding of The buildings tenants, The Monarch Club, Somerset Studio, and The Lone Goat. All of which we produced interior and exterior signage for. We particularly loved crafting the blade signs which line the grand hall, evoking the history of the buildings jewelry shops.
